Our new Lion staff keep on coming, please meet Mrs. Wallen, our new High-Ability Teacher for 5th/6th grade!
"My name is Lindsey Wallen, and I have been teaching for 15 years. I am excited to be teaching our 5th and 6th-grade high-ability students at Lincoln Elementary! I have a Bachelor of Science in Education with an art minor from IU and a Master of Arts in Education with a high-ability endorsement from Ball State. I love teaching through integrated project-based learning and service projects. I love being creative and challenging my students to think deeply about what they are learning. When I am not teaching, I am working on our new home, out in the country with my husband (a former Lincoln Lion), an energetic and loving son, three dogs, and two cats. I love animals, especially goats, and after a long day, you will find me rocking on our front porch with a bag of Swedish Fish in hand! I cannot wait to meet your incredible children here at Lincoln Elementary!"

Another new Lion introduction, please welcome, Dr. Chris Lessly!
"My name is Dr. Chris Lessly and I am excited to join the Warsaw family as the K-6 music educator at Eisenhower and Lincoln Elementary. For the last 32 years I have served as the Coordinator of Music Education at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion. I was honored with the ‘Professor Emerita’ status as I retired this past spring. I am originally from Quincy, IL and reside in Marion with my three daughters - Cameron and Caroline, adopted from China, and Claudia, adopted from the Democratic Republic of Congo."

We aren't finished yet with new Lion staff, please welcome Melayna Howett!
"I am going to be a senior at Warsaw High School, and I am so excited to also be doing an internship here at Lincoln through the high school’s
work-based learning program. I love running track and cross country, beating my family in a game of Dutch Blitz, hanging out with my friends, and I probably eat too often at Panda Express. As a Para, I am super excited about helping students out as much as I can, whether it’s something as simple as helping a child find their classroom to engaging one-on-one with a student. I look forward to being able to see students grow throughout the year and become more confident in their skills. The relationships that teachers are able to form with students can be so powerful in forming the outcome of that child’s life, and I’m especially grateful for this opportunity."

Welcome, Mrs. Julie Klepinger, as our new 2nd-grade teacher!
"I’m so excited to be joining the Lincoln team this year and to teach 2nd grade! This will be my 23rd year teaching, and I’ve taught a mix of both general ed and special ed. Outside of school, my husband and I stay busy with our teenage daughters’ sports and activities. We live in the country and have a lab/husky mix named Cooper and 3 cats. I enjoy being outside (especially the beach), reading, and spending time with family and friends. I also work at my church as the children’s ministry director. I have already felt so welcome at Lincoln and look forward to the strong sense of community and building young leaders. Excited for the great year ahead! :)"

Here is another new face you will see around Lincoln. Please welcome, Mr. Gregory, as our K-3 Resource Teacher!
"Howdy, the names Evan Gregory, and I'm excited to be joining the Lincoln family! I was born in Warsaw and have lived in North Webster for my whole life. I graduated as a Wawasee Warrior in 2020 and completed my college education in December 2024 at Purdue Fort Wayne with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, sociology, and history. After realizing corrections wasn't a good fit, I began working as a substitute teacher across the county, then as a special ed paraprofessional at Madison Elementary, where I fell in love with the job. I am beyond thankful and excited to have the opportunity to be a full-time teacher at Lincoln. Outside of school, I've been in the Army National Guard for 5.5 years, run a small mowing business, and serve as the youth director at my church. I love traveling and was fortunate enough to take my second trip to Japan this summer. Besides that, I'm a huge nerd for Star Wars, Batman, the Green Bay Packers, and way too much more to list. Can't wait to meet ya'll!"

With a new school year coming, it means meeting new faces!
Introducing, Mrs. Gall, paraprofessional.
"Hi everyone! I joined the Lincoln team at the end of last school year, so while I’m still fairly new, I’ve already felt so welcomed and excited to be a Lincoln Lion. Outside of school, life keeps me busy with my husband, our two boys (one of whom is starting kindergarten at Lincoln this year!), and our sweet dog Sammy. We love spending time outdoors, going to concerts, camping, and traveling whenever we can. I’m so thankful to be part of this amazing school family and can’t wait for a great year ahead."

Do not forget that we are celebrating Mrs. Kendall, next Tuesday, May 27th. We want to see all past and present Kendall Campers and all she has impacted throughout her years!

We are wrapping up the Year 1 implementation of our Minds in Motion room! We are thankful for this safe space for students to get their jitters out throughout the day. A special thank you to Lincoln's paraprofessionals who show up every day to provide this much-needed break for our Lions! We could not do it without you.
#WarsawInspires #LincolnLeaders

Our 2nd Annual Leadership Day was a massive success! Our Lions were able to demonstrate their leadership in multiple ways this past Friday. Thank you to our community members who took the time out of their day to see the magic in action. Way to go, Lion Leaders!
#WarsawInspires #LionLeaders

WIG CELEBRATION DAY! For the past five weeks, classrooms have been challenged to create meaningful daily moments. This could be celebrating a special student, dance parties, directed drawings, or jokes! Our goal was to have 100% of the classrooms participate, and we hit that. To celebrate, we had a schoolwide chalk celebration! Interested in seeing magic? Come see the colorful sidewalks of Lincoln.

It's official, Mrs. Kendall is retiring! Please stop by on May 27th to celebrate her accomplishments and impact. We hope to see all past Kendall Campers and friends there.

It's Administrative Professional Day! Lincoln could NOT function without the help from our front office ladies, Mrs. Ihnen and Mrs. Everett. We are so thankful for all that they do. Thank you, ladies! ❤️🦁💙

Last night, we welcomed our future little Lion Leaders at Kindergarten Kick-off! If you weren't able to attend but have a little at home, feel free to stop by the main office to collect a registration packet. It has all you need to know about getting your student prepped for next school year and other information. 💙🦁❤️

Kindergarten Kick-Off is TONIGHT at 6 PM! Join us at any of our elementary buildings to meet amazing teachers like Mrs. Kilgore and see what makes kindergarten so special!
In Mrs. Kilgore's classroom, the day starts with yoga to help students calm their minds and emotions—creating a peaceful start to the day.
Her favorite time of year? Third quarter! That’s when she sees just how much her students have grown—and when the silliness really starts to shine!

Lincoln's Got Talent was a great way for our Lions to showcase their genius! One of Lincoln's core beliefs is everyone has genius. Meaning, everyone is good at something. You all showed determination and discipline in your genius. Great work!
Thank you to everyone who attended and the adults that coordinated the event. We even had a few special guest judges that are pillars of our community! 💙🦁❤️

We celebrate Disability Awareness Week with a few dress-up days to show our inclusion support! Throughout the week, our Lion Leaders will learn about different disabilities to Seek First to Understand and ways to Synergize in the future. This learning is truly a Win-Win for all! We can't wait to celebrate everyone's differences that make us unique.
