Here is our next senior spotlight! Kennedy Lauck is a WCHS volleyball star!
“My favorite thing about volleyball is the competitive atmosphere and the relationships you make. I started volleyball in 5th grade just for fun and my love for the sport had grown since then. I am excited to be continuing volleyball at the University of Illinois-Springfield next year.
Volleyball has taught me a lot about patience and determination. Since the beginning of my volleyball career, I have grown stronger in my technical skills but also in leadership. I am a very competitive person so my motivation was always how badly I wanted to win, but in my 4 years at Warsaw I learned to also be motivated by wanting to push my teammates around me grow.
Volleyball stands out from other sports by how much you have to depend on each other. You can’t get a kill without a set, a set without a pass, and you can’t do any of that unless you can make your serve. I am very grateful for my many amazing coaches, but especially Rick Ashmore and Chandra Hepler for making me the player I am today.” -Kennedy Lauck
