Every year, Presby Preschool chooses an organization to support during the holiday season as they teach their students the importance of joyfully giving to others. For the past two years, the WCHS Food Pantry has been on the receiving end of this incredible act of generosity.
At the beginning of November, Courtney Brown, office manager of Presby, reached out to start the process and by December 4th delivered one of the Pantry’s largest donations of the year!
Brown shared how the parents of these young students have missed witnessing some of the precious things they do all year due to COVID-19, so they leapt at the chance to give back and watch their children safely package all the donations.
The Food Pantry started six years ago when a group of students known as the Dream Council wanted to be able to provide more to their fellow students than just a yearly food drive. What started as a small collection has grown into a large project that offers shelf-stable foods and hygiene products year-round.
WCHS is so grateful for the continual support of the Warsaw community and the ability to support students in this way.
