The Warsaw Percussion Ensemble is participating in the Indiana Percussion Association Scholastic Concert A-Class (PSCA). This year’s show titled “Changes" composed by Henning Pauly and arranged by Alan Frye highlights the musical journey through style and tempo. This group, comprised of 19 high school students, has been practicing weekly since January. With the 2020 season cut short, this group is eager to perform for an audience.
The group earned a 1st place ranking at the Decatur Central Invitational on Feb. 20, 2nd place at
Greenfield-Central Invitational on February 28 th , and a 2 nd place rating at Carroll HS on March 6, 2021.
The group will compete at IPA State Prelims at Center Grove HS on March 20 and State Finals at Ben Davis HS on March 27. Live stream tickets will be available for these events also. The Warsaw Percussion ensemble was established in 1991. This group stands on a legacy of being 18-time State Finalists and 5-time State Champions. The Winter Percussion Ensemble is under the direction of Mark Ziegler, Warsaw High School Band Director and Warsaw High School Winter Percussion Ensemble Director with assistance from Alan Frye and Brandon Bussard.
