Soccer Tryouts: Friday 8/28 – 4:00-5:15 PM
Any student trying out for the soccer team will meet in the cafeteria directly after school and head out to the soccer field by 4:00. Cleats/sneakers, personal water bottle, and a ride home afterwards are required to try out.

-ONE team of 6th, 5th, 4th graders with enough subs to play half-time JV games will make this year’s roster. This keeps our numbers & supplies under control and reduces extra risks where we can for this modified season. Any student who makes the team MUST have a physical on file by the first week of practice or will not be able to be on the team.

Safety Measures: Coaches & helpers will follow all Warsaw Community School safety protocols including: temperature taking before coming to practice, wearing a mask within 6 ft of student athletes, will keep hand sanitizer on site, there will not be any spitting on the field or physical horseplay, each student will be issued their own jersey to borrow for the season & laundered at home, any practice penny’s used will be disinfected between practices and only worn by that student for that practice day, and each student must bring their own water bottle to each practice labeled clearly with their name and kept with their personal belongings. All students are required to have a mask with them as a part of their school day and at practice. Masks will not need to be worn during strenuous physical activity but will need to be accessible for down times IF spacing is an issue. We will do our very best to keep space during warm-ups and when appropriate for small group skill work, etc. All parents will need to respect the safety rules put in place as well and be mindful of their own physical spacing/mask wearing when picking up from practices or at games.
Attire & Practice Location: Any student who makes the team will need to wear their practice/athletic clothing to school for the day because we will not be using school locker rooms at this time. All rostered players will meet in the group room on practice days immediately following school dismissal. As a team we will head out to the soccer field for practice and this is where students will need to be picked up at 5:15.
