Our 4th grade students recently had a visit from the Fort Wayne Zoo's "Zoomobile" to learn about "Amazing Adaptations." They had the hands-on experience to see and learn about animals that have unique traits that enable them to survive in their changing environments #HandsOnLearning #STEM #ExperiencePillar A huge thank you to the Dekko Foundation for funding this amazing opportunity for our students! Elizabeth Eckman (6th) was crowned Madison’s spelling bee champion for the 22-23 school year. Anna Jones (5th) took second place. We are proud of all of our individual classroom champions! The WCS Elementary Spelling Bee will be held in the Lakeview MS auditorium on Jan. 17th at 6 p.m.

FCCLA (Family, Career, Community Leaders of America) is holding our annual Trinkets for Teens Drive now through Wednesday, December 15th.  Trinkets for Teens partners with Toys for Tots in Kosciusko County to supply gifts to teens 13-18.  Supplies can be dropped off at WCHS at the main office or the WACC office now through Wednesday, December 15th. This year they partnered with Gabes Discount Store as well.   Leaders are appreciative of all donations that have been made and noted that they are still in need of gifts for guys. Monetary donations and gift cards will also help students shop for specific requests from local families. Suggested items include Cologne/Perfume, Gift Cards, Wallets, Non-perishable food, Socks, Backpacks, Slippers, Lunch boxes, Hats/gloves, Gum/Candy, Scarfs, Jewelry, Books, Puzzles, Deodorant, Candles, Games, Markers, Cards, Movie Tickets, Purses, Belts, Makeup, Hair Accessories, Sports balls, Water Bottles. #wcsmission #togetherwearewarsaw #ayearofkindness #kindnesswcs #empathywcs #inclusivitywcs

A huge shoutout to our girls basketball team, boys basketball team, cheer team, and cheer club who all showed up for a big night as Madison took on Claypool for our last home game of the season! The gym was rockin’! #workhardplayhard #teamspirit

At Madison, developing empathy for others and giving back to our community is of utmost importance. During this season of thanks, we will be holding a school-wide food drive (non-perishable items) to support those in our community who are not as fortunate. All items will be taken to Warsaw's own Combined Community Services to stock Dane's Family Food Pantry on November 22.
