New Faces

WARSAW, IN — At the Combined Board Meeting on July 15, Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) announced several administrative updates for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

Kristi Lucht has been named the new Principal of Claypool Elementary. A proud Warsaw native and WCHS graduate, Lucht brings a student-centered mindset, strong community ties and a wealth of experience.

Lucht began her teaching career at Lincoln Elementary and later served at Jefferson Elementary before stepping away to raise her four children. She returned to education in Indianapolis as a teacher, assistant principal and data coordinator. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Grace College and a master’s in educational administration from Butler University.

“One of my primary goals at Claypool is to continue to develop the academic rigor and build connections to the Claypool and Silver Lake communities with the school,” she said. “Being present with staff, students and families is incredibly important to me. Staff, students and families will see me at drop-off in the mornings and dismissal after school. I love visiting classrooms on any given day to see what our students are learning.”

Lucht and her family recently moved back to Warsaw. “We have eagerly anticipated returning home to Warsaw to once again be part of this incredible community!” she added. “Since returning, we’ve enjoyed spending time with family and friends, visiting the lakes and parks, getting our new library cards and exploring.”

In addition, Steven Boyer will begin serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Warsaw Community Schools while continuing in his current role as Director of Human Resources. Boyer brings extensive experience in public education and district leadership, having previously served as a teacher, principal HR Director and CFO.

As part of the CFO role restructure, Danielle Raber, currently Corporation Treasurer, will transition to Director of Finance. Tracy Beiler will move from HR Generalist to HR Manager. This restructuring allows WCS to reduce one administrative position while still maintaining strong leadership in both finance and human resources.

Dr. David Hoffert shared, “WCS is excited to welcome Kristi, Steven, Danielle and Tracy to these new or revised roles. These individuals have grown up within WCS. Their specific talents have enabled us to restructure positions creating efficiencies in job duties and roles. We are grateful for their commitment to impact WCS students, staff and community.”
