We are excited to welcome families and new students into our schools. Families who choose to live in the Warsaw Community School District have something in common. Students returning for the 2022-2023 school year will complete the online registration process through PowerSchool. This process will be complete as follows:
If you do not have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account, you can set one up by doing the following:
Open the internet browser on your computer
Type https://warsawschools.powerschool.com/public into the address bar
Click on the "Create New User" Tab
Fill in the information requested for your desired username and password
Enter your student's full name, Access ID and Password. If you do not have this information, please contact your school or Central Office at 574-371-5098 for the Access ID and Password.
Step 2 - Complete Enrollment forms
Select a student in the top, left corner.
Select forms at the bottom of the menu on the left
Select the Enrollment tab.
Update form notification by clicking the gear in the top right.
Complete ALL forms in this section.
There is a status indicator identifying the status of each form. All forms should be yellow or green for registration to be complete.
All Enrollment forms must be completed by July 18th.
Adding additional children to Portal Account
Contact School to receive Access ID and Password for the missing child.
In Parent Portal Account, click Account Preferences in menu on the left.
Select students tab.
Click the add button and provide student name, ID, and password.
Step 3 - Provide Documentation - Only if your address has changed since August of 2021.
Families are asked to provide two proofs of legal address as part of the registration process. These documents may include:
Rental/Lease agreement signed within last year
Mortgage statement
Real estate tax bill from the current calendar year
Notarized letter of residence form (used if you don’t have a lease or live with friends or relatives)
Electric Bill
Water Bill
Cable/Satellite Bill
Natural Gas Bill

Online Pre-Registration for the 2022-2023 School Year
All families will use an online process to register for Warsaw Community Schools. This process begins by completing the pre-registration form. Please select from the following links below to begin the pre-registration process. It is critical that a valid email address is used when completing the pre-registration process.
New Kindergarten students for the 2022-2023 school year click here

After completing the pre-registration process, you will receive an email allowing you to complete the full registration process. You can complete the pre-registration process at any time; however, full student registration will open for the 2022-2023 school year on April 1, 2022.
Online New-Student Registration for the 2022-2023 School Year
Once the pre-registration form is received and approved, you will receive an email from PowerSchool to set up your Parent Portal account and complete the student enrollment forms. Instruction to set up your account are included in the email. You will be asked for several documents during the registration process. These can be uploaded during registration OR dropped off at the school within the first 30 days of the school year. These documents include:
Student Birth Certificate and/or proof of the student's date of birth
Two proofs of residency. These could include the following
Rental/Lease agreement signed within last year

A student who initially enrolls in one of the Warsaw Community Schools is required to also provide:
Evidence of immunizations
The name and address of the school the student last attended
A transcript for students at the secondary level

Here are many of the common questions asked about the Warsaw Community Schools registration process.
At what age can my student start KG?
Must be 5 by August 1 of the upcoming school year. (August 1, 2022) WCS does not allow for early enrollment.
When is the first day of school?
August 15, 2022
Do I pay fees for my student to attend school?
You only pay Textbook Rental fees. Those fees are due late November.
What does it mean to transfer your student?
A transfer means that you would attend a different school than where you reside.
Can I transfer my student within Warsaw Community Schools?
Yes you can apply for an In District transfer. Criteria for transfer: Sibling attending transferee school who is attending 1st - 6th grade during the 2022-2023 school year, school employee working in the requested building, attending a STEM school, attending a Dual Language Immersion school.
What are the required immunizations my student needs to start school?
Please see the google form linked above for the required immunizations.
When will I know what bus my child will be riding?
Letters will be sent to you at the beginning of August with your child’s bus number, driver name, and estimated pick up and drop off times.
Can I have my child picked up and dropped off somewhere else other than where I reside?
Yes! Questions in regards to transportation are a part of the registration you will complete.
How do I know my child will be safe within the school?
Warsaw Community Schools follows ALICE safety protocol. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate)
Each building also uses the Raptor system which ensures all buildings are secure at all times.

Transfer Students
Warsaw Community Schools welcome families who live outside of the Warsaw Community Schools district through our Open Enrollment Program that allows tuition-free enrollment. Students who wish to enroll after January 15 may apply for a transfer on a space-available basis. Transfers end on March 31.
Avoid Costly Repair Bills: Get Accidental Damage Protection (ADP)Today!
All students in Warsaw Community Schools have an assigned iPad. These are used in the classroom on a daily basis. Students in grades 5-12 are permitted to take these devices home on a nightly basis. Students in Grades K-4 are permitted to take these devices home for E-Learning days. All electronic devices have the potential to break. Warsaw Community Schools works with Secured Tech Solutions to provide families with an Accidental Damage Protection plan to pay for repairs.

Upon completing student registration, families will receive a follow-up email from SchoolCare - sometime in mid-July.
This platform is used by school nurses to maintain student health health records and monitor office visits. We asked all families complete the SchoolCare registration process.

Please note that Caredox is now SchoolCare. Warsaw Community Schools requires parents to submit their child’s health forms on SchoolCare, our digital health platform.
