Warsaw, IN- Warsaw Community Schools recently celebrated a major milestone—10 years of innovation, creativity and teamwork—at the annual Elementary Robotics Showcase. This year’s event brought together over 200 students in grades 4 through 6 from all eight WCS elementary schools to highlight their engineering and programming skills.
Students competed in two engaging challenges using LEGO Spike Prime kits: Gold Rush and Pacer Race. These events pushed students to design, build and code robots capable of completing complex tasks. The showcase not only celebrated technical skills but also emphasized critical thinking, collaboration, and perseverance.
“This event is about more than robotics,” shared Dan Graney, WCS Instructional Coach. “It’s about preparing students for the future by giving them real-world opportunities to solve problems, work together, and apply STEM skills in meaningful ways. None of this is possible without the incredible people who support our students along the way.”
Warsaw Community Schools extends its deepest appreciation to the dedicated robotics coaches, community volunteers and families who make this showcase possible each year. A special thank-you goes to Zimmer Biomet for their continued financial support, which ensures the ongoing success and growth of this event.
