Envirothon Contest students

This week, WCHS took two teams to the Northeast Regional Envirothon Contest in Columbia City.  Not only did our Senior Team consisting of Claire Walker, Harrison Phipps, Cadence Gibson, Rachel Doyle, and Katelynn Boyle win the contest and the opportunity to compete at the state level, but the JV team of juniors Daniela Islas, Cordelia Grandon, Grace Friedberg, Piper Ellis, and sophomore Bronwyn Harrison placed 3rd overall!

The students were tested in five areas: Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Soils, Wildlife, and the Current Issue Topic of Waste to Resources.  You can find more information about the contest at www.indianaenvirothon.org.

They will travel to Connor Prairie in Fishers on April 27th.

Thanks to sponsors. Students, and families for all their support. Congratulations to all and best wishes on the next round!
