Warsaw Community High School will hold Freshmen Orientation on Tuesday, August 10 from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Warsaw Community High School. Parents and guardians are asked to enter through the Performing Art Center (PAC) doors. All incoming freshmen students are invited to attend. Due to recent COVID-19 protocol restrictions, there will be three repeated presentations of important incoming freshmen material. WCHS will operate with alphabetized freshmen groups, based on a student's last name, in the PAC at ONE of the following times: 5:00 pm (A-J); 6:00 pm (K-R); 7:00 pm (S-Z). The remaining time will be allotted for students and a parent/guardian to tour WCHS and for students to walk their schedule. To assist with space limitations, WCHS is asking that only one parent/guardian enter the building with the student. Some highlights of the orientation will include sharing important information regarding the school year, meeting and hearing from key school figures, and introducing Tim Devlin, the new principal for the Class of 2025. Incoming freshmen will receive their iPad at this event as well as information to purchase insurance on that device. Insurance is a valuable asset to have in case of an accident. iPad insurance for freshmen will be $25. This is an important evening designed to help students and families make a smooth transition to WCHS. Warsaw Community High School looks forward to welcoming the Class of 2025 and providing valuable information on August 10, 2021, from 4:30 pm to 8 pm.

Warsaw Community Schools has ten (10) eLearning days scheduled for the 2021-22 school year. Baker Youth Club is the place for your child on those days! We can help your child complete their eLearning assignments in a safe and fun environment! Congratulations go out to our newest 2021 graduates! At a ceremony held on June 22 at Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center, students were recognized for their hard work and achievement. Families had the opportunity to celebrate their son or daughter at the in-person commencement. Congratulations also go out to school administration and teachers. One family celebrating graduation includes Shanna Miller who explained why today was so special, "I graduated from WCHS in 2007. At that time, my son Garrett was just a baby. I am grateful for teachers who believed in me. Mrs. Scroggs, my senior English teacher, was a constant source of encouragement, saw my potential, and has remained part of my life for fourteen years. I went on to advance my education and career opportunities. Setting that example was important as a mother of four who was also helping to raise a nephew, Benjamin, and two nieces, Dolores and Ethel. I have been their constant source of encouragement and I see their potential. I am proud to say that Dolores Castro recently graduated and Ethel Baldridge (Lincoln Lion, Lakeview, WCHS) just earned her diploma too. The struggle is real for so many students, but there is hope and even when the odds are stacked against you - hard work pays off. Today, I am so proud of my son Garrett Baldridge and the example he is setting for his three younger siblings."
