🌞 Summer Break Update! 🌞 We applaud the dedication of 20 administrators and teachers who attended the "PLC at Work" conference last week! This was a 3 -day intensive workshop focused on collaboration. The passion of this group of educators was truly inspiring! Over the past 15 years, teacher-led collaboration through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) has become a fundamental aspect of teaching at WCS. These collaborations (PLCs) are a powerful force in education, emphasizing essential academic standards, data-driven instruction and addressing enrichment and remediation needs. #PLCAtWork #WCSmission

🌟 Edgewood recently had two incredible days of professional development focused on revamping and expanding their STEM Project-Based Learning (PBL) units. 💡✨ Our dedicated educators gathered to collaborate and explore innovative teaching strategies and their collaborative spirit was truly impressive! There was an abundance of work, meaningful discussions and deep understanding throughout the workshop. We witnessed firsthand the commitment and enthusiasm of our amazing team of educators. Moving forward, Edgewood's goal is to continue branching out with cross-curricular STEM units that incorporate real-world problem-solving, employability skills, literacy and hands-on learning experiences. They are committed to fostering higher levels of depth and knowledge in our students!
