Warsaw Schools to Host Kindergarten Kickoff for the Class of 2039
WARSAW, IN - Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) is excited to invite families of incoming kindergarten students to attend our annual Kindergarten Kick-Off event for the 2026–27 school year as we prepare to welcome the Class of 2039.
Kindergarten Kick-Off will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at all WCS elementary schools (Claypool, Eisenhower, Harrison, Jefferson, Lincoln, Leesburg, Madison and Washington). Families are encouraged to arrive by 5:45 p.m.
During the event, families will learn about key topics including the registration process, school safety protocols, before- and after-school care options and an introduction to programming such as STEM, Leader in Me and Dual Language Immersion (DLI). Families will also have the opportunity to meet school staff, tour the building and visit kindergarten classrooms.
Children must be five years old on or before August 1, 2026, to enroll in kindergarten. Families with questions about their elementary district or additional details are encouraged to contact their school office or call 574-371-5098.
Registration for all K–12 families opens March 1 at To register click here . Families interested in the Dual Language Immersion program must complete pre-registration and registration by May 29, 2026, to participate in the DLI lottery, tentatively scheduled for June 4, 2026.
