Warsaw Performing Arts Showcases Student Talent During Multiple Spring Events

WARSAW, IN - Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) invites the community to attend several spring performances showcasing the talent of student musicians and dancers.
The Middle School Band kicks off the spring events with a Spring Concert on Monday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Middle School Auditorium. The concert will feature the combined Edgewood and Lakeview Bands, along with the 6th Grade Band and middle school jazz band. Students will perform a variety of well-known selections, including music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park and a Beatles medley.
The Warsaw Community High School Choral Department will present its Spring Concert, “How Can I Keep From Singing,” on Tuesday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the WCHS Performing Arts Center. The evening will feature performances by WCHS choirs and show choir. Admission is free, with free will donations accepted to support the choral program and the purchase of new performance attire. The evening will also include Choral Awards and Senior Recognition.
The WCHS Spring Dance Showcase will take place Friday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. The showcase will feature a range of styles, including hip hop, contemporary, and jazz. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Proceeds support the WCHS Dance Department, helping provide costumes, shoes, and expanded opportunities for students.
On Monday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m., the WCHS Spring Band Concert will be held in the Performing Arts Center. The evening will include performances by the Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, Lab Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble, along with individual student features. The concert will also include senior awards and the reveal of next year’s marching band show. Admission is free, with donations accepted to support the band program.
The spring series concludes with the Spring Orchestra Concert on Thursday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. The concert will feature orchestra students in grades 6 through 12, including both middle school and high school ensembles. The evening will include senior recognition and a combined finale performance featuring all orchestra students.
