Warsaw, IN- During the 2025-26 school year, Eisenhower students raised $7,963.57 through the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge. While students across the school were invited and encouraged to participate, students in kindergarten through third grade were the main contributors.

Over the course of a month, students collected online donations and sponsors. Students tracked their individual progress on a display wall outside the Eisenhower gym. Students also earned prizes throughout the challenge as they reached fundraising milestones.

Eisenhower has participated in the Kids Heart Challenge for several years, which has allowed students to serve others while also learning more about ways to care for their hearts. “I’m very proud of the students here at Eisenhower for their continued support of the Kids Heart Challenge,” said Eisenhower PE Teacher, Andy Streit. “We set a goal of raising $5,000 last school year, and the students knocked it out of the park!”

American Heart Association CEO Nancy Brown thanked Eisenhower for its continued support. She noted that funds raised through programs like the Kids Heart Challenge help support research that leads to better treatments for children living with critical heart conditions.
