IDOE Waiver Approval and 2025–2026 Calendar Confirmation
Dear WCS Families,
Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) has been granted a waiver by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) for the cancelled instructional days of January 26 and January 27. These days were cancelled due to emergency road conditions that made travel unsafe for students and staff. We appreciate the IDOE granting this flexibility given the unexpected winter weather event.
With the approval of this waiver, WCS is currently scheduled to conclude the 2025–2026 student school year on its original last student day, Friday, May 22.
If additional weather-related cancellations occur during the spring of 2026, the IDOE may allow WCS to utilize additional asynchronous instructional days pending special approval.
