Family Technology Resources

Securly Filter

Warsaw Community Schools uses Securly Filter to help provide a safe and secure online learning environment for students. Securly is a cloud-based web filtering system designed specifically for K–12 schools that helps block inappropriate or harmful content while supporting access to educational resources across school-issued devices.

Securly works on all school assigned devices both on and off campus, helping the district remain compliant with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and keeping your students safe online.

Parents may also receive access to Securly’s Parent Portal and weekly activity reports, which provide visibility into their child’s online activity on school-managed devices.

Our goal is to support safe, responsible, and productive technology use while protecting students in digital learning environments.

Securly Home

Securly Home is a companion app that gives parents and guardians greater visibility into their student’s online activity on school-issued devices. Through the app, families can receive notifications, review web activity, and monitor flagged concerns related to student safety and well-being.

Parents may also receive weekly email reports summarizing their child’s online activity and search trends while using district-managed devices. Securly Parent is designed to encourage open communication and partnership between home and school while supporting safe and responsible technology use.

The platform helps families stay informed and engaged in their child’s digital learning experience both on and off campus.

Jamf School

Jamf School is the district’s mobile device management system used to configure, secure, and support school-issued Apple devices such as iPads and MacBooks. This system allows the Technology Department to remotely deploy educational apps, manage device settings, apply security updates, and ensure devices are ready for classroom learning.

Jamf School also helps protect student devices by enforcing security settings, filtering requirements, and district technology policies. In some cases, the system can assist with troubleshooting, locating missing devices, or resetting settings remotely to minimize downtime for students.

The goal of Jamf School is to provide a safe, reliable, and consistent learning experience while helping students and teachers make the most of their classroom technology.

Jamf Parent

Jamf Parent is a mobile app that allows parents and guardians to help manage their student’s school-issued iPad outside of school hours. Through the app, parents can apply restrictions to selected apps, pause device access for focused time, and support healthy digital habits at home.

The app works alongside the district’s device management system and gives families additional tools to support responsible technology use while still maintaining access to important educational resources. Parents can customize controls based on their family’s needs, helping create balance between screen time, homework, and personal time.

Jamf Parent is designed to encourage partnership between home and school in supporting safe, productive, and age-appropriate device usage.
